Semi Acoustic Guitars
My semi acoustic electric guitar has features in the acoustic and electric realm. To do this I set the guitar up with a triple pickup array. To capture the classic semi acoustic sound I mounted a Humbucking pickup next to the fretboard. The acoustic sound of the instrument is expressed by the Fisherman Piezo under the bridge saddle. Finally to embellish the sound a Fisherman Piezo is setup under the saddle of the string harness, this is made possible by the secondary tail piece tuned to an octave plus a 5th with a 1/6th scale length. As mentioned the tail peace has a dedicated pickup to capture the remaining string length, the effect is a complimentary chorus of overtones and harmonics.

Featuring : Back and sides Douglas fir - Soundboard Douglas fir. Secondary tail piece tuned to an octave plus a 5th, with a 1/6th scale length. To capture the remaining string length the tail piece has a dedicated pickup.
Finish : Nitro cellulose Lacquer.
Detailing : Ebony fretboard and head face.
Inlays : Mother of pearl snow flakes and dots.
Hardware : Butter bean head, open gear Grovers tuners.
Nut : Hand carved bone. Hand turned tone and volume knobs.
